Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roland Box (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Malham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malham has chosen Amorphis - House of Sleep as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malham shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Box's guard.
Box looking to hit a scissor sweep but Malham is one step ahead there.
Box keeping moving, preventing Malham from controlling successfully.
Malham passes Box's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Box tries to roll over but Malham keeps him under control.
Box is trying to control but can't.
Malham throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Malham stalling.

Box wants to improve his position but Malham is controlling well.
Malham thows a huge punch but Box dodges it nicely.
Box is trying to maintain the position but Malham is very close to passing his half guard.
Box is refusing to be controlled, as Malham sits in half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Malham controlling the action here.

John Malham has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Box tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Malham tries a head kick but it misses.
Malham scores with a decent looking hook.
Box misses with a straight left.
Malham throws a leg kick
and Box counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Malham misses with a kick to the body.
Malham throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Malham throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Malham will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

John Malham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Box counters with a takedown into side control.
Malham is not content to let Box control the position.
Malham tries to buck Box off but Box is having none of it.
Box cracks Malham with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Box lands an elbow.
Box in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Malham is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Box is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Malham tries to hold on but Box postures up.
Box trying to control but Malham is having none of it.

Box thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Box thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Malham is bucking up trying to escape but Box cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Malham wants to hold on but Box pushes him away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Malham is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Malham shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Box as he jumps to the side.
A low kick from Malham is predictable there

and Box counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Malham!
Malham working to try and regain half guard.
Box avoids the attempt from Malham to control.
Malham is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malham keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
You get the feeling that Malham really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Box with the ground and pound from mount.
Box postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Malham looks a forlorn figure.
Malham is in a horrible position here. Box smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Malham is rocked!
Malham is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Box lands a heavy elbow.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Box! Malham is hurt baaadly! Box is firing away with more strikes - Malham is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
