Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Benny Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogerio Duprat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Benny Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rogerio Duprat!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen misses with a takedown attempt

and Duprat counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Duprat frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Duprat fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Duprat in particular looking to stall.

Duprat takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Allen is staying active underneath Duprat, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rogerio Duprat.

Duprat is trying to get back to his feet but Allen has full control of the position and if anything, Duprat has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Allen looking to break Duprat's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Duprat remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Allen will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Duprat tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Allen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Duprat is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Duprat and Allen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Duprat has one of Allen's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Allen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Duprat doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Allen.

Allen seems to be working for a kimura but Duprat defends the submission attempt.

Duprat manages to work his way to half guard, despite Allen's best efforts.

Duprat is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Duprat is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Allen gets his way!

Allen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Duprat is defending well though. Allen let's go of the attempt for now.
