Covers comes into the arena with All within My Hands blaring out of the sound system. Shepherd has chosen Shattering The Skies Above as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Covers throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shepherd.
Covers scores with a decent looking hook.
Dusty Covers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shepherd walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Shepherd walks into a stiff left hand from Covers.
Covers misses with a left hand
and Shepherd counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Shepherd lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Covers backs up against the cage.
Covers scores with a punch to the head.
Shepherd is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters circling - Covers throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Shepherd is still on wobbly legs! Can Covers finish him?

A telegraphed right hand from Covers misses the target.
Shepherd seems to have recovered his senses.
Covers misses with a hook. Shepherd ducked under it nicely.
Covers thows a left - swing and a miss!
Shepherd doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Covers counters with a big right hand! Oh Shepherd is in trouble here! Covers follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
