The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serdceed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Serdceed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pace manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pace misses with a combination

and Serdceed counters with a head kick that drops Pace to the mat! Pace scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Pace is rocked!
Serdceed moves in looking to clinch but Pace pushes him off.
Oh Pace is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pace rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Serdceed counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Pace has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Serdceed clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Serdceed manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pace's guard. Nice work there by Serdceed.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pace pushes Serdceed off and scrambles back to his feet.
Pace seems to have got his legs back now.

Pace is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Serdceed can't fight it off and eventually Pace manages to take the fight to the floor. Serdceed looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Serdceed is on top in guard.
Serdceed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pace is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Serdceed seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Serdceed would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pace misses with a wild body shot.
Pace circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pace throws a big shot that misses.
Pace throws a series of punches but Serdceed avoids them all with ease.
Pace swings for the body but Serdceed moves out of range.
Pace misses with a takedown attempt - Serdceed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bomzhara Serdceed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pace fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Serdceed to the ground. Pace is now in Serdceed's guard.

Pace postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Serdceed is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pace, into his guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pace wanted to stand there but Serdceed had control of the position.

Pace is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Serdceed is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Serdceed has escaped and now he's on top!

Serdceed wants to control but Pace is keeping him busy.
Serdceed is taking a breather. Pace says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Serdceed is looking to take a break and control but Pace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nick Pace.
I think Serdceed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
