Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Lee looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Briggs!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs throws the left hand but Lee avoids the punch easily.
Briggs rushes Lee and presses him up against the cage.
Briggs is trying to break free.
Briggs is trying to break the clinch but Lee has him pressed against the cage.
Lee lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Briggs has had enough of the clinch but Lee keeps him there for the moment.
Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Briggs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Briggs throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily.
Briggs misses with a body shot
and Lee counters with a left and a right that stings Briggs.
Lee tries for a takedown but Briggs circles away easily
and Briggs counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Lee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Briggs controls the pace.
Briggs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Briggs with a nice head shot there.
Briggs chips away with some ground and pound.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Briggs distracts Lee with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Briggs is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Briggs is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Briggs lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Briggs's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Lee is trying to keep Briggs in close.
Briggs content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Briggs chips away with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Briggs is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Oh Lee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Briggs lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Briggs forces his way into half guard.
Briggs seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Briggs working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Briggs lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Lee is trying to control but Briggs passes into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lee seems to have got his legs back now.
Briggs lands a strong strike to the head of Lee. That's dazed him! Briggs looking to finish here. Lee is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Briggs lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonathan Briggs!
