Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Rj Paned!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Maplesden!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paned swats away the attempt to clinch by Maplesden.
Maplesden scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Rj Paned has been cut.
Maplesden punishes Paned's body with a nice straight punch.

Maplesden closes the distance and pushes Paned back into the cage.
Maplesden lands a nice shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Maplesden breaks the clinch.
Maplesden throws a series of strikes that have Paned backpedaling.
Paned misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maplesden defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paned.
Paned falls off balance throwing a combination

and Maplesden counters with a head kick that drops Paned to the mat! Paned scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Maplesden instigates a clinch.

Maplesden has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Paned regains guard immediately.
Paned is breathing heavily.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Paned is trying to control the position but Maplesden postures up.
Maplesden is looking to stand up but Paned won't let him.
Paned could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Paned is trying to keep Maplesden in close.
Maplesden is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Maplesden wants to stand but Paned is controlling his posture from full guard.

Maplesden stands up from Paned's guard - Maplesden perhaps looking for a knockout.

Maplesden scores with a head kick. Paned tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
A slapping leg kick lands for Maplesden.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Paned is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Maplesden.

Paned looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Maplesden turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Maplesden manages to end up in side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paned on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Paned tries to get out of the position.
Maplesden takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Paned wants to hold on but Maplesden pushes him away.
Maplesden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paned. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Maplesden has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Paned's face.
Paned takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Maplesden has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Paned avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Paned pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Paned might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Paned has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Maplesden is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maplesden lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Paned backwards.

Well Maplesden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
