Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Feeling It . Machida has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida scores with a jab to the head.

Juan rushes Machida and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Juan successfully pulls guard.
Juan is pulling down on Machida's head. It's preventing any offense from Machida, at least for the moment.
Let's hope that Juan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Machida tries to stand but Juan is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Juan is controlling Machida's posture.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Don Juan was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Juan misses with a hook to the body
and Machida counters with a straight right hand.
Juan tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Machida throws a sloppy head kick

and Juan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Juan is taking a breather. Machida says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Juan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Juan thowing shots but they're missing.
Machida is breathing heavily.
Machida has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Juan lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Machida knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Juan on the ground.

Juan has managed to slip his arm under Machida's chin. This could be all over... yep, Machida is tapping out! Submission win for Juan.
