The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Karl rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kane misses with an uppercut. Karl saw that one coming.
Karl throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Karl misses with a body shot.
Karl looks to throw a body kick
and Karl takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like John Karl has been cut.

Kane misses with a double jab
and Karl counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Ron Kane has been cut.
Kane works the jab nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kane lands with a thumping leg kick.

Karl looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kane, right into the meat.
Kane misses with a looping left.
Kane cracks Karl with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Kane counters with a good low kick that Karl was not able to check.

Kane lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Karl looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Karl uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kane.
Karl misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Karl has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Karl there as he acknowledges the shot.

Nice defenses there by Kane.
Kane moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Karl is rocked!

That has opened up John Karl's cut even more.
A head kick by Kane - that's a beauty! Karl is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Kane can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ron Kane!
