Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Fiddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Fiddel!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fiddel looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well.
Fiddel misses with the combination.

Smith clinches up with Fiddel and pushes him back against the cage.

Smith turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Smith manages to end up in side control.
Smith trying to control the action but Fiddel is working from the bottom.
Smith working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Fiddel wants to control but Smith postures up.
Smith throws a strike aimed at the side of Fiddel's head but Fiddel avoids it well.
Fiddel gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Smith takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Smith lands strikes from half guard.
Smith stops Fiddel from getting back to his feet.
Smith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Smith keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Smith working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fiddel looks like he's trying to stand up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Fiddel's temple.

Fiddel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Fiddel to see if he's OK.
Smith connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Fiddel some visible discomfort.

Smith creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Smith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fiddel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Smith misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Fiddel is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.
Fiddel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Smith kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Smith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fiddel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fiddel on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Smith creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Fiddel tries to escape but Smith is in control.
Smith lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Fiddel down.

Smith fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Fiddel is pushing Smith's head away, looking to escape. Smith manages to hold on to the position though.
Smith cracks Fiddel with a big elbow.

Fiddel manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Smith is looking to improve his position.
Smith is not content to let Fiddel control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Smith dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fiddel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Smith kicks Fiddel off and gets back to his feet.
No joy there for Fiddel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fiddel as he jumps to the side.

Smith closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fiddel did well to prevent Smith getting side control.
Fiddel is looking to control Smith's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fiddel avoid being mounted?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Smith is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Fiddel should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Smith stands up over Fiddel, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Fiddel has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Smith doesn't defend quickly enough and Fiddel has managed to lock this one up! Can Smith escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Fiddel on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chuck Fiddel!
