Mouse's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, (hed) pe - Let's Ride. Micky Mouse could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to King Simba's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse thows a left - swing and a miss!
Simba looks to score with a jab to the body but Mouse is just out of range.

Simba gets caught napping as Mouse dives in and scores a takedown. Simba manages to retain guard.

Mouse drops back looking for a leg! Simba is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simba manages to kick Mouse off! Mouse jumps back into Simba's guard.

Mouse decides to stand and escape the position.

Simba wants to get back to striking at distance but Mouse won't allow it.

Mouse breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mouse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Simba moves away.
Mouse swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Simba throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Simba tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mouse shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mouse thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Simba's head.
Mouse is trying to control. Simba wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Mouse winds up and cracks Simba with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Simba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mouse. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Mouse throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Donk. Simba catches Mouse right on the button with a cross.

and Simba counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Simba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Simba counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Micky Mouse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mouse is looking to clinch but Simba is avoiding it.
Mouse connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Mouse is looking to take a break and control but Simba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mouse is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Simba is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Simba wants to get back to his feet.
Mouse with the ground and pound but Simba uses the opportunity to regain guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Simba holds on and takes a little breather.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Simba can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mouse is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Simba has escaped the position, nice work there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mouse lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Simba down.
Mouse cracks Simba with a big right hand but Simba just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mouse throws an elbow but Simba slips to the side and avoids it well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mouse goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Simba turns into him and now he's in Mouse's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Simba shoots in looking for a takedown. Mouse tries to sprawl out of it but Simba keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mouse manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
