PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ville Apila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Ziskie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Apila might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Distance ( OF OUR SKILLS). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziskie just misses with a punch to the body.
Ziskie rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Apila counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Apila.
Apila throwing strikes from guard but Ziskie blocks nicely.
Ziskie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Apila drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Apila jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Apila throws a strike but Ziskie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Apila has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Apila is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ziskie rolls with it to try and escape but Apila cranks on the arm and Ziskie is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
