The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yvel lands a slapping body shot.
Yvel misses with a left hand
and KOBoxer counters with a left to the body.

KOBoxer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Yvel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and KOBoxer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Yvel looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Yvel lands with an overhand left.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yvel looks for a takedown but KOBoxer sprawls well.

and KOBoxer counters with a straight right hand.
KOBoxer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Yvel drops KOBoxer with a right and a left! Yvel comes rushing in but KOBoxer regains his composure and manages to keep Yvel in guard.

It looks like Jeff KOBoxer has been cut.
Yvel missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Yvel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
KOBoxer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Yvel.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
