PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jizzy Krup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krup lands with a right hand.
Norris is breathing heavily.
Krup clobbers Norris with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Krup, as that shot connected.
Nice body punch from Krup.
Krup ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Norris moves away.
Krup shoots for a double leg takedown but Norris sprawls well. He's pushed Krup's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Krup wants to pass the guard but Norris is keeping the position.

Krup thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Krup drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Krup has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Norris has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Krup is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Norris's half guard.

Krup is looking to work his way around to Norris's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Krup is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Norris has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Krup gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Krup connects with a good right hand that stumbles Norris. Norris circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Krup cracks Norris with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Jizzy Krup showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Krup shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Norris as he jumps to the side.

Krup bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Norris slaps away a takedown attempt from Krup, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Krup lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Krup throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jizzy Krup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheers as Krup lands an impressive looking overhand right. Norris doesn't seem phased though.

Krup shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Krup was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Krup is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Norris to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Norris shrugs it off.

Norris covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I really don't envy Norris right now.

Well Krup has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
