Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amon Amarth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Darnielle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Amarth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Anyway. John Darnielle will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amarth throws a lazy uppercut
and Darnielle counters with a thumping low kick.
Darnielle turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Darnielle scores with a head kick. Amarth tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Amarth is looking to clinch.
A shot to the body from Amarth misses
and Darnielle counters with a solid body kick.
Darnielle throws a big shot that misses.
Darnielle finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Amarth tries for a takedown but Darnielle circles away easily
and Amarth takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Amarth lands a nice hook to Darnielle's body. Darnielle takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Darnielle lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Amarth has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Amarth and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Darnielle takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Amarth fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Darnielle manages to avoid it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Darnielle is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Amarth to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Amarth shrugs it off.
Amarth gets back to half guard.
Amarth is looking to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Darnielle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Amarth is just riding it out for now. Darnielle eventually gives up the hold.

John Darnielle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
