Arona fails with a takedown attempt.

Arona lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Arona frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Arona looking to control but Derkin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Derkin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Arona.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arona throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Arona unloads with some shots from mount but Derkin bucks and avoids them well.
Arona has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Arona working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Derkin turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Arona off and cradles Derkin's limp body as Arona celebrates with his corner.
