Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Igor Panfil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vurak Vobrisa!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vobrisa cracks Panfil with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Vobrisa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Panfil shoots and misses
and Vobrisa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Panfil shoots for a double leg takedown but Vobrisa sprawls well. He's pushed Panfil's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Vobrisa looks to land a combination but Panfil avoids it well.
Panfil takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Panfil darts in trying to clinch
and Vobrisa counters with a one-two to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Vobrisa. Those never looked like landing.
Vobrisa jabs Panfil to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Panfil is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Vobrisa moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vurak Vobrisa!
