Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyrion Lannister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taj Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lannister comes to the cage accompanied by Downstait - Say it to my Face. Simpson has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Simpson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lannister is looking to clinch.
Simpson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Simpson thuds a left hand into Lannister's body.
Simpson forces Lannister back against the cage and clinches.

Lannister wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lannister breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simpson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Simpson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Lannister is just content to waste time from the top position. Simpson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Simpson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lannister is controlling him.
Lannister drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Simpson dives on top into guard.

and Lannister counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Lannister looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Simpson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lannister bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Simpson wants to land a leg kick but Lannister is out of range.
Lannister tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Simpson lands a head kick!
Simpson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lannister counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Simpson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so Lannister counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Lannister passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lannister is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Simpson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Lannister gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Simpson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Lannister lets go of the hold and Simpson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
