Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kong Nu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kong Nu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Rogan!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nu misses with a double jab.

Nu darts in and clinches Rogan up against the cage.
Rogan tries for a takedown but Nu manages to get underhooks.
Nu looking to stall.
Rogan lands a shot to the body.

Rogan jumps guard and drags Nu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rogan keeping moving, preventing Nu from controlling successfully.
Rogan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rogan wants to sweep here but Nu controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogan is looking to stand up but Nu isn't so interested in that idea.
Rogan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nu is one step ahead there.
Nu wants to control from the top but Rogan keeps moving.

Nu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nice takedown defense from Nu. No joy for Rogan on that attempt.
Nu throws a series of strikes that have Rogan backpedaling.
Rogan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nu misses with a wild combination.
Rogan tries to close the distance and clinch but Nu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rogan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nu.
Nu misses with a double jab.
Nu throws a right hand that Rogan ducks under and follows up with a left that Rogan also avoids with ease.
Nu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rogan slips a jab and a cross from Nu.

Nu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Rogan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rogan preventing the sweep.
Rogan trying to control the position from guard on top but Nu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rogan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Rogan slips nicely into half guard.
Rogan looks gassed!
Rogan uses his free foot to push down on Nu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nu.
Rogan unloads with some shots from mount but Nu bucks and avoids them well.

Rogan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nu has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Nu wants to hold on but Rogan pushes him away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rogan throwing strikes here but Nu is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nu is looking to escape.
Rogan throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Nu wants to hold on but Rogan pushes him away.

A nice elbow there by Rogan.
Rogan in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Nu is bucking up trying to escape but Rogan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Nu is rocked!

Rogan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Nu is now in Rogan's guard. A big mistake from Rogan there, giving up the dominant position!
Oh Nu is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rogan has his feet on Nu's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Nu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nu seems to have got his legs back now.
No joy there for Nu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A combination from Nu does no damage.
Nu fails to land with a series of punches.

Rogan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Nu controls Rogan momentarily but Rogan frees himself.
Rogan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rogan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nu's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Rogan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nu's head.

Rogan gets to his feet. Nu looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Rogan dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Rogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nu shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rogan dodges the punch combination from Nu.
Nu lands a jab-cross combination.
No luck for Rogan with that takedown attempt.

Rogan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rogan tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Nu regains half guard.
Rogan is breathing heavily.
Rogan throws a strike but Nu avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Rogan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nu works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Nu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rogan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rogan stays in close to Nu's body and controls the position.

Rogan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nu, up you get!
Rogan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nu throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Rogan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nu won't be happy with that.

Rogan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nu has escaped the position, nice work there.
Nu struggling a bit here.
Nu tries to improve position but can't.
Rogan tries to advance to mount but Nu denies him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nu tries to buck Rogan off but Rogan is having none of it.
Nu throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Joe Rogan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nu prevents Rogan from moving into mount.
Rogan lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Rogan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Rogan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Rogan is looking to clinch but Nu is avoiding it.
Nu throws a right and a left that Rogan avoids nicely.
Nu throws a one two combo.
Rogan throws out a leg kick but Nu moves out of range and Rogan only half commits.
Nu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nu lands a jab-cross combination.

Nu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Rogan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Nu wants to improve his position but Rogan is controlling well.
Rogan is thwarting Nu's attempts to control the position.

Rogan stands up out of the half guard.
Nu misses with a two punch combination.
Nu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nu fails to land with a series of punches.
Nu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rogan gets the takedown into side control.

Rogan decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Rogan shoots in but Nu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nu throws a series of punches but Rogan avoids them all with ease.

Nu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rogan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nu.
Nu misses with a few strikes there.
Nu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rogan.

Rogan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rogan works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Nu looks to move to half guard but instead Rogan has passed into mount! Damn!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Joe Rogan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Nu throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nu throws a right and a left that Rogan avoids nicely.

Rogan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rogan misses with a takedown attempt - Nu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rogan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Rogan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rogan.
Rogan fails to pull guard.
Kong Nu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Rogan.
Nu scores with a shot to the side of Rogan's head.

Rogan shoots for a takedown but Nu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rogan misses the jab.
Rogan moves in looking to clinch but Nu pushes him off.
Nu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kong Nu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nu moves out of range of the body kick from Rogan.
Nu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nu misses with a series of wild punches.
Nu scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Rogan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Nu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rogan's best efforts.
Nu avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rogan.
Rogan wants to pass to mount but Nu is defending the position.
Nu is trying to get back to full guard.

Rogan seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Rogan is thwarting Nu's attempts to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nu's waist but Nu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rogan off to one side.
Nu misses with a two punch combination.
Nu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rogan missing with a left hand there. Nu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rogan.

Nu tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Rogan presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Nu is in a horrible position here. Rogan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Nu gets back to half guard.
Nu tries to get to full guard but Rogan has control of the leg.
Rogan passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Nu!

I've got Rogan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
