The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa avoids a punch combination nicely.

Balboa has closed the distance and engaged Cain in a clinch.
Cain is trying to drag Balboa to the mat but Balboa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Balboa lands a nice knee to the body.

The cut above Emerson Cain's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cain is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Balboa is pressed up against the cage. Cain has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Balboa down to the mat. Balboa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Balboa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cain, pushing him back against the cage.
Balboa gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Cain is rocked!

Emerson Cain's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Emerson Cain's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
