Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bunkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russel Ebert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ebert's choice of entrance music: Mean Street - Van Halen. Bob Bunkers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Bunkers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russel Ebert!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebert throws a nice looking combination but Bunkers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bunkers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ebert on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Bunkers thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ebert if he has to take too many more of those.
Bunkers jabs at Ebert's body.
Ebert has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bunkers finds it's way round the side to connect with Ebert's head.

Bunkers throws a front kick that sends Ebert stumbling back into the cage.

Ebert decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bunkers is looking to improve his position.
Bunkers is trying to control but can't.
Bunkers wants to get back to full guard but Ebert has mounted him!
Bunkers tries to lock up and control but Ebert gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bunkers wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ebert.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bunkers tries to lock up and control but Ebert gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bunkers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ebert has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bunkers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ebert has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bunkers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ebert defends it well.

Nice takedown defense from Bunkers. No joy for Ebert on that attempt.
Bunkers fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ebert.

Ebert gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bunkers drops back looking for a leg! Ebert is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ebert manages to kick Bunkers off! Bunkers jumps back into Ebert's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob Bunkers will probably get the nod.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bunkers enables Ebert to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bunkers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
