Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lahti throws a jab when Bong was well out of range.
Lahti throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Bong rushes Lahti and presses him up against the ropes.

Bong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lahti quickly recovers to half guard.

Bong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lahti is trying to stand up here but Bong is controlling him well.

Bong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lahti sees it coming and defends easily.
Bong is looking to advance position but Lahti won't allow it.
Bong is looking to take a break and control but Lahti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Bong prevents Lahti from standing back up.
Bong seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lahti does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lahti is positioning himself well to prevent Bong advancing to mount.

Bong wants to control but Lahti is keeping him busy.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bong looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

We're going to have a standup here because The Bong wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bong slips a straight right by Lahti.
Lahti throws a jab but it's blocked by Bong.
Lahti misses with a looping left.

Bong takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lahti connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bong momentarily.

It looks like The Bong has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bong shoots in for a takedown but Lahti shows good takedown defense.
Lahti dips to his left and cracks Bong with an uppercut!
Bong fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lahti misses with a looping right.
Bong gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Lahti cracks Bong with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lahti has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bong to stand back up!

The Bong's cut is getting worse.

Lahti rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bong shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lahti sprawls well. Lahti wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bong gets slowly back to his feet.

and Lahti counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Lahti bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lahti dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The Bong's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Waltteri Lahti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lahti lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bong walks into a stiff left hand from Lahti.

Jeez, The Bong's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
