The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The Kid can't control as he wanted to and Diaz manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Diaz tries to roll over but The Kid keeps him under control.

Diaz has a hand on The Kid's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. The Kid takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Diaz is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, The Kid has taken his back.
The Kid is looking to control Diaz but Diaz is wriggling around and keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Billy The Kid will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
The Kid moves into range and clinches up with Diaz.

Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. The Kid just stands there and leans against the cage.
The Kid lands a good knee to the midsection. Diaz won't want to take too many of those.
Diaz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. The Kid smiles and moves away.
Diaz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Diaz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Diaz counters with a shoot takedown. The Kid fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Kid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for The Kid, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
