Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vuvu Zela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn McRay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRay has chosen eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Vuvu Zela has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zela throws a jab when McRay was well out of range.
McRay lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McRay is defended easily by Zela.

The referee warns McRay that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Zela lands a big shot there that rocks McRay but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
You get the feeling that McRay really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Zela jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McRay manages to avoid the submission attempt.
McRay is trying to buck Zela off.
McRay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zela. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zela seems to be working for a kimura but McRay defends the submission attempt.
