Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thulsa Doom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Meredith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meredith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Rolling Stones - Paint it, Black. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thulsa Doom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Meredith!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Doom. Beautiful body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Doom, as that shot connected.
Doom steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Meredith.
Meredith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doom.
Doom throws out a loose jab but Meredith uses good head movement to avoid it.
Doom comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Meredith throws a jab when Doom was well out of range.
Meredith misses with a straight left.
Doom fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Meredith manages to avoid it.
Doom scores with a jab to the head.
Doom cracks a nice hook into Meredith's ribs.
Thulsa Doom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Doom takes a swing at Meredith's ribcage but misses.

and Meredith counters with a nice leg kick.
Thulsa Doom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A looping hook to the body misses from Doom. Meredith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Doom stuns Meredith with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Doom looks to throw the jab but Meredith is out of range.
Doom throws a poor cross that misses
and Meredith counters with a low kick, right behind Doom 's knee.
Meredith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Doom is looking to wear down Meredith with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Doom throws a lazy right hand but Meredith sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Doom. Meredith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Meredith closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Meredith ducks under a wild hook from Doom.

and Meredith counters with a nice body shot.
Meredith slips under a jab from Doom.
Doom missing with a left hand there. Meredith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Meredith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doom.
Doom waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Meredith.
Doom swings for the body but Meredith moves out of range.
Doom fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Meredith on the side of the head.
Doom scores with a hook to the body. Meredith takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Meredith looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Doom throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Doom cracks a nice hook into Meredith's ribs.
Meredith moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Doom misses with a right hand

and Meredith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doom won't be happy with that.

Meredith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Meredith advances to full mount.
Doom has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Doom is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Thulsa Doom will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Meredith looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Doom!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meredith is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Doom has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Doom on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Doom tries to get out of the position.
Doom is trying to stand.

Meredith working for a guillotine from mount but Doom is in no mood to give up.

Meredith goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Doom is on top in guard.

Meredith looking to hit a scissor sweep but Doom is one step ahead there.
Justin Meredith has got the better of the ground game so far.
Meredith is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Doom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Meredith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doom has managed to get both his arms back between Meredith's legs - danger averted.
Doom has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Meredith is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Meredith doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Meredith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Doom is aware though and is defending well.

Meredith tries to roll over but Doom keeps him under control.

Doom prevents Meredith from improving his position.
Doom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meredith on the ground.
The fighters are battling for position here. Meredith manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Doom is looking to stand up but Meredith won't let him.
Meredith wants to sweep here but Doom controlling him for the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Meredith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justin Meredith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Meredith wants to clinch up but Doom keeps it at a distance.

letting Meredith counter with a right hand.
Doom fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Meredith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Meredith drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Meredith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Doom fails to land with a series of punches.

Doom misses with a left hand

and Meredith counters with a shoot takedown. Doom fights it but they end up in guard.

Meredith has gone for a leg lock! Doom slips out almost immediately though and dives into Meredith's guard.
Doom will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Meredith has his foot on Doom's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doom works his way back into a safe position though.
Doom wanted to stand there but Meredith had control of the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Meredith is on top in guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Doom is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Meredith is controlling him.

Meredith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Meredith advances to half guard.

Meredith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Meredith is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Meredith is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Meredith is working for a kimura but Doom is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Meredith trying to mount his opponent but Doom defends it.

Meredith is looking for a kimura but Doom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Meredith to get the leverage.
Meredith moves into full mount! Doom won't be happy about that!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Doom is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

I think Meredith has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
