The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wyngarde throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Harris was covering up waiting for the punch and Wyngarde finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Wyngarde drops back, looking for a kneebar! Harris looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Harris looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Harris!

Harris misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Wyngarde should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Harris is trying to get an arm triangle but Wyngarde is defending well.
Wyngarde stops Harris from passing to mount.
Harris sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Wyngarde is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Wyngarde takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Harris goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wyngarde has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Harris but great work by Wyngarde.

Wyngarde drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harris manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wyngarde has Harris in his guard.
Harris thows a big elbow that misses.

Harris thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Harris tries to free his leg and advance position but Wyngarde is retaining full guard.
Harris throws a strike but Wyngarde rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Harris wants to sweep but no luck.

Harris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wyngarde can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Harris drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Harris as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Wyngarde screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Harris! Nice submission victory there!
