Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dario Conca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jiujitsu Bot!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bot throws a lazy uppercut
and Conca counters with a nice uppercut.
Bot misses with a left hand
and Bot takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dario Conca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Conca quickly recovers to half guard.

Bot is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Conca still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Conca has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Bot tries to buck Conca off but Conca is having none of it.

Bot wants to control but Conca postures up.

Conca thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Conca tries to advance to mount but can't.

Bot is trying to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bot wants to control but Conca is having none of it.

Conca wants to control the pace but Bot is squirming around nicely.

Bot tries to hold on but Conca pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bot keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bot misses with a lunging right hand
and Conca counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conca shoots in and drives through. Bot sprawls well.

and Bot counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Conca keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Conca won't allow Bot to pass to mount.
Bot takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Bot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bot prevents Conca from improving his position.
Conca is pressing down on Bot's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Conca keeping moving, preventing Bot from controlling successfully.

Conca is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bot defends well.

Conca preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Conca wants to sweep but no luck.
Bot controlling from the top position.
Bot with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bot trying to control the position from guard on top but Conca is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bot passes Conca's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bot tries to pass to full mount but Conca defends it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bot stalling away here and it's allowed Conca to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Conca looking for a guillotine here but Bot defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bot showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Bot wants to pass the guard but Conca is keeping the position.
Bot trying to control but Conca is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bot has gone for a leg lock! Conca slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bot's guard.
Bot is looking to sweep but instead, Conca has passed into half guard.
Bot trying to hold on to Conca's head to control him but Conca postures up.

Bot is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Conca pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiujitsu Bot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Bot misses with an uppercut
and Conca counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bot's knee momentarily.

Conca fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bot to the ground. Conca is now in Bot's guard.
Conca wants to pass the guard but Bot is keeping the position.
Bot looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Conca will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bot is trying to keep Conca in close.
Conca looking to sit in guard and control but Bot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bot wants to control from the top but Conca keeps moving.
Bot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Bot looking to pass the guard.

Bot drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Conca dives on top into guard.
Bot is trying to keep Conca in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Jiujitsu Bot has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Conca connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nice body kick there by Conca.
Bot tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Conca fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Bot misses with a left hand
and Conca counters with a straight right hand.
Bot misses with a hook
and Conca counters with a stiff right hand.
Bot misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Conca counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A solid leg kick lands there for Conca.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Conca throws a nice inside leg kick.
Conca cracks Bot with an open hand slap.
Bot takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Conca scores with a jab to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dario Conca showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Conca has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
