Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kung Pow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fight Prototype (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fight Prototype is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pow throws a head kick that misses.

Prototype manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Prototype has Pow pulled in close to control his posture.
Pow thows a big elbow that misses.
Pow wanted to stand there but Prototype had control of the position.

Pow has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Prototype is proving hard to escape from.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Prototype instigates a clinch.

Pow has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Prototype uses from the top position.

Pow is trying to escape back to his feet but Prototype uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Prototype tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pow is trying to control Prototype's posture but Prototype avoids it.

Prototype is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Pow's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pow tries to hold on but Prototype pushes him away.
Prototype with a couple of short strikes.
Pow is just holding on here. Prototype manages to take his back.
Pow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Prototype on the ground.
Pow trying to control but not successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Prototype is looking for a choke. Pow gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Pow manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Prototype is looking for a triangle but Pow pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Pow lands a head kick!
No luck for Pow with that takedown attempt.

Pow tries to keep at a distance but Prototype has taken the fight into the clinch.
Prototype keeps control of Pow as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pow comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Pow.

Pow manages to break the clinch.
Pow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Prototype circles away.

Pow ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Prototype shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Prototype is breathing heavily.

Prototype takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Pow wants to clinch up but Prototype keeps it at a distance.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kung Pow. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Prototype decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pow, up you get!

Prototype clinches up with Pow and pushes him back against the cage.

Prototype jumps guard and drags Pow to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fight Prototype showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Prototype is looking to control Pow's arms but Pow gets an underhook and turns him. Now Prototype has his back to the cage.

Prototype is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pow is looking to stand up but Prototype won't let him.
Pow wants to control from the top but Prototype keeps moving.
Prototype looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Pow throws and elbow that misses. Prototype uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pow's guard. Nice move by Prototype!

Prototype perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Prototype decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Prototype blocks a head kick by Pow.
A left and a right from Pow both land. Nice combination.

Prototype shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pow's guard.

Prototype is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pow can't keep his opponent in guard - Prototype advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Well, if Prototype is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Prototype is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Pow has managed to free his arm - good work.
