Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan Bosak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Bosak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Oliver!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliver misses with a combination

and Bosak counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bosak is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bosak has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Oliver is proving hard to escape from.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Oliver keeping moving, preventing Bosak from controlling successfully.

We're going to have a standup here because Jan Bosak wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bosak with a lazy takedown attempt
and Oliver makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Oliver throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bosak counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oliver manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bosak manages to get himself to full guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bosak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jan Bosak.
Oliver lands a slapping body shot.
Oliver throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bosak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bosak is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Oliver is looking for a sweep. Bosak is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Oliver gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bosak to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bosak not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bosak's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Oliver misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jan Bosak dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bosak tries for a kimura but Oliver is defending well.
Oliver tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Oliver takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
A lull in the action here as Bosak stalls from top position.

Bosak has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bosak postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Oliver defending against the ground and pound.
Bosak trying to control the position but Oliver is working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oliver is trying to improve his position.
Bosak controlling the position.
Bosak throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Oliver works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bosak seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jan Bosak just wasn't active enough.
Oliver closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Oliver throws a right and a left that Bosak avoids nicely.
Bosak gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Oliver makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Oliver swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oliver lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bosak circles away quickly and effectively.
Jan Bosak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Oliver counters with a left and a right that stings Bosak.

Bosak shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Oliver counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jan Bosak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bosak has his takedown stuffed
and Oliver cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Bosak decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Oliver's guard.

Bosak drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oliver manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bosak has Oliver in his guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

James Oliver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bosak needs to keep his hands up - Oliver had a free shot at his head there.

Bosak on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Bosak takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Oliver wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Oliver scores with a three punch combo!
Oliver thuds his right hand into Bosak's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Oliver lands with an overhand left.
Oliver lands with a hook. Bosak tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Oliver lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oliver takes a swing at Bosak's ribcage but misses.
Oliver fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A punch combination from Oliver misses.
Oliver misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oliver fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oliver throws a series of punches but Bosak avoids them all with ease.
Jan Bosak is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Oliver counters with a two punch combo.
Oliver misses with a double jab

and Bosak counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oliver won't be happy with that.
Bosak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oliver keeps working.
Oliver manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Bosak tries to get to full guard but Oliver has control of the leg.
Bosak is staying active underneath Oliver, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Oliver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bosak has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
