The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kallo takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Kuula Kallo has been cut.
Kallo wants to clinch
and De La Venetro counters with a nice body shot.
De La Venetro lands a head kick. Kallo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

De La Venetro lands a left and a right that send Kallo crashing to the mat, dazed. De La Venetro thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Kallo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt De La Venetro.
Kuula Kallo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for De La Venetro.
No luck for Kallo with that takedown attempt.
Jose De La Venetro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kuula Kallo.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Kallo might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, De La Venetro has got the better of the exchanges.

Kallo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kallo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on De La Venetro, up you get!

De La Venetro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kallo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

De La Venetro throws a nice looking combination but Kallo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
De La Venetro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
De La Venetro stalks Kallo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kallo's face. Kallo staggers backwards, shaken.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and De La Venetro counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Kallo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

De La Venetro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kallo on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kallo passes De La Venetro's left leg - he's now in half guard.
De La Venetro wants to stand back up but Kallo manages to pass into side control.

Kallo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kallo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
De La Venetro wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kallo is working to tighten is grip on De La Venetro's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. De La Venetro has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kallo is really squeezing tight and eventually De La Venetro passes out! Kallo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
