The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takamura is looking to clinch but Ochi is avoiding it.
Takamura sizes up Ochi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jun Ochi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ochi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ochi prevents Takamura from getting back to his feet.
Ochi lands a couple of elbows.
Takamura avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ochi pushes down on Takamura's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ochi passes the guard and advances to mount!
Ochi is landing with some decent strikes but Takamura is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Takamura is in a horrible position here. Ochi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ochi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Takamura wants to stand and escape but Ochi is having none of it.
Ochi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takamura swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Takamura looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ochi is one step ahead there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Takamura lands with a big right hook that stumbles Ochi - he's out on his feet here! Takamura follows up with another monster hook that separates Ochi from consciousness! Ochi falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Takamura stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
