Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bakki yAkoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Fisher looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from yAkoi misses.
yAkoi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Ryan Fisher has been cut.
yAkoi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fisher has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fisher moves out of range of the body kick.
Fisher takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fisher keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fisher displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from yAkoi.
Fisher tries to land a front kick but yAkoi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

yAkoi throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
yAkoi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Fisher regains half guard, as yAkoi was trying to land strikes.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with yAkoi in particular looking to stall.

Bakki yAkoi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
yAkoi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
yAkoi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fisher swats him away and circles back towards the center.

yAkoi lands an elbow inside that Fisher shrugs off.
yAkoi tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Bakki yAkoi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fisher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. yAkoi tries to avoid it but Fisher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag yAkoi to the ground. yAkoi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

yAkoi moves into the clinch successfully.

yAkoi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fisher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

yAkoi connects with a leg kick. Fisher looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and yAkoi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fisher's knee momentarily.
Fisher keeps the fight on the outside.
yAkoi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fisher changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. yAkoi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fisher is looking to take a break and control but yAkoi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bakki yAkoi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

and Fisher counters by moving into the clinch.

yAkoi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fisher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but yAkoi circles away quickly and effectively.
