Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kurima Bakokang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Squidward Tentacles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bakokang's entrance music is Fuel. A fine choice. Tentacles has chosen Sweet Victory as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tentacles uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bakokang.

Bakokang shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tentacles's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tentacles can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bakokang wants to pass the guard but Tentacles is keeping the position.

Tentacles's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Squidward Tentacles.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tentacles in particular looking to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Kurima Bakokang will probably get the nod.

Bakokang is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tentacles is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tentacles has escaped and now he's on top!
Tentacles must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tentacles seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Squidward Tentacles hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bakokang tightens his grip and picks Tentacles up, before dumping him to the ground. Tentacles manages to land in guard.

Bakokang thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ground and pound from Bakokang seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Bakokang advances nicely into full mount.

Bakokang is working for a guillotine from mount but Tentacles frees his head quite easily.

Bakokang is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Tentacles has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Tentacles!
