Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pertti Pakkaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogan comes to the cage accompanied by The real American. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pakkaaja tries to bum rush Hogan with a series of wild strikes but Hogan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hogan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pakkaaja throws a series of punches but Hogan avoids them all with ease.
Hogan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Hogan counters with a single leg into guard. Pakkaaja didn't expect that.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Hulk Hogan just wasn't active enough.
Pakkaaja will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pakkaaja lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hogan circles away quickly and effectively.

Horrible takedown by Hogan or perhaps it was just good defense by Pakkaaja which made him look bad.
Hogan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pakkaaja sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hogan somewhat.

Pakkaaja fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hogan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sloppy strikes from Pakkaaja. Those never looked like landing.
Pakkaaja rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hogan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pakkaaja jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hogan drops his hands momentarily and Pakkaaja takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pakkaaja is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Pakkaaja ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Pakkaaja pushes Hogan off looking to stand but Hogan dives back in and keeps control.

Hogan is working for a kimura but Pakkaaja is defending it quite comfortably.

Pakkaaja kicks Hogan off and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pakkaaja throws a nice looking combination but Hogan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hogan shoots in and drives through. Pakkaaja sprawls well.

Hogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pakkaaja tries to avoid it but Hogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pakkaaja to the ground. Pakkaaja escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hogan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pakkaaja napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hogan is looking to take a break and control but Pakkaaja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's time! Hogan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Hogan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hogan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pakkaaja swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hogan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hogan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
