PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felix Amare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Amare might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sky Skrapin-Jon Young. Larry Law told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amare steps into range and cracks Law with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Law flops backwards and Amare dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Larry Law has been cut.

Law looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Amare won't allow Law to sweep him here.
Amare wants to stand but Law is controlling his posture from full guard.
Law tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Law working for a triangle but Amare defends it easily.
Amare knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Law on the ground.
Law looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Law keeping moving, preventing Amare from controlling successfully.

Law is looking for a triangle but Amare pushes his legs off easily.

Law scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Law tries to clinch there but Amare circles away.
Law wants to clinch up but Amare keeps it at a distance.
Amare moves out of range as Law strikes.

Law throws a right hand that misses

and Amare lands a stunning uppercut that sends Law to the mat!

Law is rocked!
Law looks gassed!
Amare tries to stand and escape but Law is controlling the position.
Law is still on wobbly legs! Can Amare finish him?
Amare wants to control but Law is keeping him busy.
Law seems to have recovered his senses.
Amare tries to pass the half guard into mount. Law knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Law has one foot on Amare's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Amare looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Law is fending him off so far but Amare persists. Nope, Law circles away and we're back to standing.

Law decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Law stops Amare from getting back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Law escapes and gets back to his feet.
Larry Law seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Amare knocks Law to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Law throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Amare fails to land the takedown.
Amare swats away the attempt to clinch by Law.
Amare circles away from the clinch attempt.

Amare fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Amare throws a head kick that misses.
Law darts in trying to clinch

and Amare counters with a right hand that sends Law tumbling to the canvas! Can Amare finish him? He dives into Law's guard looking to do just that!

Law is rocked!
Law is breathing heavily.
Law is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Amare wanted to stand there but Law had control of the position.

Law throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Law wants to stand up but Amare is controlling him.

Amare avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Law pushes Amare off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Nice combo by Amare! Oh, that's hurt him - Law falls to the canvas and Amare follows him into side control.
Law is trying to improve his position.
Amare tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.
Amare trying to control the position but Law is working away.

Amare tries to get to his feet but Law is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Amare in his guard.

Law looking for a guillotine here but Amare defends easily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
