Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiroto Inoue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sanchez's choice of entrance music: D-Generation X. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroto Inoue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries for a takedown but Inoue circles away easily
and Inoue counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Inoue is taking a breather. Sanchez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Inoue looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Inoue seems to be working for a kimura but Sanchez defends the submission attempt.

Inoue wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Inoue defends well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sanchez has his foot on Inoue's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Inoue works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Inoue postures up in Sanchez's guard and throws a big left but Sanchez blocks it.
Inoue slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Inoue tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Sanchez is not content to let Inoue control the position.
Inoue tries for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sanchez looks gassed!

Inoue is trying to get an arm triangle but Sanchez is defending well.
Sanchez takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
An elbow from Inoue crashes against the mat.
Inoue trying to control the position but Sanchez is working away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sanchez is letting Inoue control him for a moment.
Inoue works to advance to full mount. Sanchez defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Inoue lands a heavy elbow.
Inoue has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Inoue drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sanchez parries the strikes from Inoue easily there. Inoue is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sanchez to escape.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Inoue parries the strikes from Sanchez easily there. Sanchez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Inoue to escape.
Inoue can't do much from the bottom here.
Inoue is looking for a sweep.
Sanchez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Inoue has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sanchez but great work by Inoue.

Inoue throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Sanchez works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Inoue winds up and cracks Sanchez with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.

Inoue is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Inoue takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
