PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Konrad Borowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Borowski might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to AC/DC - Shoot to Thrill . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borowski tries to clinch but Dennis moves out of range.

Dennis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Borowski was covering up waiting for the punch and Dennis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Borowski looking for a guillotine here but Dennis defends easily.

Dennis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Dennis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Borowski is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Borowski has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dennis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Borowski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Borowski is pressing down on Dennis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dennis is holding on for now.
Dennis is looking for a sweep. Borowski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Borowski throwing shots but Dennis is blocking nicely.
Dennis manages to get to full guard.
Dennis tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Borowski lands with a nice body kick.
Dennis tries for a takedown but Borowski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Dennis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Borowski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dennis but great work by Borowski.

Dennis is trying to control but can't.
Borowski wants to control but Dennis is keeping him busy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Konrad Borowski wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Dennis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Borowski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dennis somewhat.

Dennis is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Borowski has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Borowski!

Borowski is bucking up trying to escape but Dennis cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Dennis trying to control but Borowski is having none of it.
Dennis throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
