Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koskela's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Avalon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Koskela scrambles back to his feet.
Koskela looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Avalon forces Koskela back against the cage and clinches.
Avalon is working for takedown but Koskela is calmly controlling the position for now.
Koskela looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Avalon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Koskela has had enough of the clinch but Avalon keeps him there for the moment.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Avalon.
Avalon lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Avalon looking for a takedown.
Koskela tries to break free but Avalon pushes him back against the cage.
Avalon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Koskela gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Avalon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Avalon prevents Koskela from breaking the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Koskela's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Koskela has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Koskela tries to break the clinch but Avalon is controlling the position.
Avalon lands with a left to the head.
Koskela prevents a takedown attempt there.
Avalon goes for a takedown attempt but Koskela pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Avalon scores with a decent looking hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koskela takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Avalon lands a big right hand that sends Koskela crashing to the mat! Avalon stays standing though and waves Koskela back to his feet!
