The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves lands with a kick to the ribs.
One throws a lazy uppercut
and Alves counters with a slapping leg kick.
One misses with a leg kick
and Alves counters with a big head kick but One shrugs it off.
Alves punishes One's body with a nice straight punch.
One tries to land a body kick
and Alves counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
One throws a lazy head kick
and Alves counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Alves throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. One tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alves is in One's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
One is breathing heavily.
Alves slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
One is being controlled here.

Alves has an Americana. One didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Alves is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Alves hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
