Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Bandit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Travolta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Bandit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Travolta!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandit fails with the takedown.

Travolta shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bandit is trying to defend but Travolta finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Travolta is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Travolta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bandit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Travolta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bandit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Travolta has managed to get both his arms back between Bandit's legs - danger averted.

Bandit looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Travolta pushes past his half guard into mount!

Travolta jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bandit is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bandit and Travolta has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Travolta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Travolta has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bandit is working away from the top position though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bandit lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bandit connects with a nice short shot to Travolta's temple.
Bandit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bandit throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Travolta is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bandit winds up and cracks Travolta with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Travolta wants to get back to full guard.

Bandit seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Travolta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bandit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Travolta's waist but Travolta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bandit off to one side.
Bandit tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bandit checks a leg kick.

Travolta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bandit looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bandit is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Travolta off and has taken his back!

Bandit is trying to stick to Travolta's back but Travolta is turning into Bandit. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bandit's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Travolta.

Travolta avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bandit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Travolta stacks Bandit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Travolta!

Bandit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Travolta doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Travolta manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bandit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Travolta can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bandit looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Travolta thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bandit has his foot on Travolta's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Travolta works his way back into a safe position though.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Bandit keeps the fight on the outside.
Travolta stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Travolta wants it to stay on the feet.

Bandit wants to control but Travolta is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Travolta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bandit is just riding it out for now. Travolta eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
