The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fellows shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fellows showed some decent athleticism there.
McGee gets full guard.
McGee trying to keep a closed guard but Fellows is proving a slippery customer.
McGee keeping moving, preventing Fellows from controlling successfully.
McGee wants to stand and escape but Fellows is having none of it.

McGee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fellows defends well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fellows accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fellows with a flurry of punches that miss.

McGee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fellows doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fellows manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McGee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fellows gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McGee wants to improve his position but instead Fellows has moved into half guard.

Fellows is looking for a kimura but McGee is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fellows to get the leverage.
Fellows throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fellows seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

McGee tries to roll over but Fellows keeps him under control.
Fellows takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Fellows looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McGee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McGee on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fellows is working for a submission of some sort.
Fellows prevents McGee from improving his position.

McGee tries to get to full guard but Fellows has control of the leg.
McGee pushes Fellows off looking to stand but Fellows dives back in and keeps control.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fellows lands a nice short elbow.

Fellows is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Fellows looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd cheers as Fellows lands an impressive looking overhand right. McGee doesn't seem phased though.
McGee needs to keep his hands up - Fellows had a free shot at his head there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McGee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fellows paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fellows fakes the leg kick and cracks McGee in the body.
Fellows turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Fellows pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McGee back to the cage. Fellows follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

McGee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fellows is working away from the top position though.

Fellows lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Damien Fellows is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fellows, as that shot connected.
McGee throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Fellows to counter with a crisp jab.
