Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnson Juarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ghengis Congo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juarez comes to the cage accompanied by SYSTEM OF A DOWN - Prison Song. Congo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. After the Smoke is Clear kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnson Juarez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ghengis Congo!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Congo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ghengis Congo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Juarez checks a low kick from Congo.
Juarez shoots in for a takedown but Congo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Juarez moves away from the strike by Congo.
Juarez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Congo.
Juarez has his takedown stuffed
and Congo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Congo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Juarez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Congo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Congo has escaped and now he's on top!
Congo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Juarez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Congo!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Juarez moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Congo has worked his arm free - good work by Congo!

Juarez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Congo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Juarez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Congo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Juarez but great work by Congo.

Juarez is letting Congo control him for a moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Congo trying to control the position but Juarez is working away.
Juarez tries to buck Congo off but Congo is having none of it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Juarez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Juarez keeping hold of Congo's head, controlling as best he can.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Congo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Congo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Juarez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Congo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Juarez somewhat.

Juarez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Congo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Juarez is keen to just control but Congo is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Congo won't allow Juarez to pass to mount.

Juarez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Juarez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Juarez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Johnson Juarez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Johnson Juarez will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Congo throws a front kick aimed at Juarez's knee but Juarez avoids it well.
Congo tries to clinch but Juarez is having none of it.

Juarez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Juarez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

And that's the end of the fight!
Ghengis Congo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Congo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
