Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Garet Jax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Garet Jax!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn Knight!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jax misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jax tries for a takedown but Knight sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A punch combination from Jax misses.

Jax gets caught napping as Knight dives in and scores a takedown. Jax manages to retain guard.
Knight throws and elbow that misses. Jax uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Knight's guard. Nice move by Jax!
Jax stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knight swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jax pushes down on Knight's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jax is keen to just control but Knight is a slippery customer.
Knight wants to stand back up but Jax manages to pass into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jax is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Knight is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jax shoots for a double leg takedown but Knight sprawls well. He's pushed Jax's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Jax counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Knight's guard now.

Jax is nestled in close to Knight, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We're going to have a standup here because Garet Jax wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Jax has hold of Knight's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Knight manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Knight turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Jax off and cradles Knight's limp body as Jax celebrates with his corner.
