The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strga gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Strga gets through Linguist's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Strga manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Linguist postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Strga is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Linguist, into his guard.
Linguist has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Strga is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Linguist.

Linguist is looking to regain half guard here but Strga keeps moving and retains side control.

Strga seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Linguist does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Linguist drops back looking for a leg! Strga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Strga manages to kick Linguist off! Linguist jumps back into Strga's guard.

Linguist wants to control from the top but Strga keeps moving.
Linguist is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Linguist postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Linguist drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Linguist jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Strga manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Linguist manages to get himself to full guard.
Strga might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Linguist is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Strga frees his head nicely. Oh but Linguist has switched to an armbar! Strga is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
