Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Race (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Race looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jin Kwon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kwon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kwon gets through Race's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kwon throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Kwon is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Kwon working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kwon just leaning against Race, taking a breather.

Kwon manages to break the clinch.
Race takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Adam Race has been cut.
Race has a takedown stuffed.
Race shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kwon as he avoids it easily.
Adam Race seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Race gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kwon counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Race. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Race is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kwon stalks Race and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Race's face. Race staggers backwards, shaken.

Race takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Race takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Race is rocked!
Race gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kwon gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Race is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jin Kwon!
