Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uriel Verrus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Warren Dominic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Dominic.
Verrus looks to land a combination. Dominic sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
No joy there for Dominic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Verrus fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Verrus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dominic.
Uriel Verrus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Verrus scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Dominic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Verrus is working away from the top position though.

Dominic has his foot on Verrus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Verrus works his way back into a safe position though.

Verrus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dominic swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dominic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dominic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Verrus is one step ahead there.
Dominic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Verrus is trying to control but can't.
Dominic performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dominic is looking for a kimura but Verrus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dominic to get the leverage.

Verrus wants to control but Dominic is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Dominic seems to be working for a kimura but Verrus defends the submission attempt.
Dominic frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Dominic wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Dominic tries to control but Verrus wriggling away.
Dominic is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Dominic jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Verrus is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Verrus and Dominic has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Verrus is not content to let Dominic control the position.

Verrus gets back to half guard.
Dominic trying to mount his opponent but Verrus defends it.

Dominic seems to be looking for submissions.
Verrus tries to roll over but Dominic keeps him under control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dominic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Verrus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Verrus is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Warren Dominic dominated that round.
That's time! Verrus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Verrus wants to clinch
and Dominic counters with a three punch combo that has Verrus backing up. Verrus nods at Dominic to acknowledge the strikes.
Dominic fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Verrus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dominic connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Verrus momentarily.
Verrus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dominic swivels and escapes.
Dominic cracks Verrus with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Uriel Verrus has been cut.
Verrus takes one to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Verrus manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dominic on his heels. He'll look to pass Dominic's guard now, I'm sure.
Dominic is pulling down on Verrus's head. It's preventing any offense from Verrus, at least for the moment.
Verrus will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dominic has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Verrus doesn't defend quickly enough and Dominic has managed to lock this one up! Can Verrus escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dominic on a fantastic submission victory.
