The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann avoids a kick to the body.
Evans throws a body kick the misses
and Mann counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Mann lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Evans trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Mann manages to pass to mount!

Poor strikes thrown by Mann there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Mann breaks from Evans's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Bj Evans has been cut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evans is looking to improve his position but Mann isn't that keen on the idea.
Evans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mann on the ground.
Mann takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
