The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lodin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A big left from Lodin misses.
A punch lands to the side of Lodin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lodin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Lodin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lodin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zala throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lodin slips under a jab.
Zala thuds a left hand into Lodin's body.
Zala throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lodin counters with a nice low kick that buckles Zala's knee momentarily.
Zala takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lodin slips a jab from Zala.
Lodin throws a sloppy body shot
and Zala makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lodin tries to land a front kick but Zala steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Zala throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zala jabs Lodin to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Lodin defending well as Zala loads up on a big left hand.
Lodin misses with a right hand
and Zala counters with a series of strikes. Lodin will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lodin misses with a shot to the body
and Zala counters with a good, hard body kick but Lodin shrugs it off.
Zala fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lodin manages to avoid it.
Zala moves out of range of the strikes.
Zala fails with a takedown attempt.
Lodin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zala.
Lodin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Zala swings widly with a right hand
and Lodin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lodin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lodin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zala counters with a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lodin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Frank Lodin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lodin throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Lodin misses the shot to the body.
Zala shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lodin pinned against the cage. Lodin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Zala scores a takedown into full mount!

Lodin is rocked!

It looks like Frank Lodin has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zala drops a big elbow. That's hurt Lodin! More shots from Zala and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
