Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Kyzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusty Clapper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyzer comes to the ring accompanied by Ricochet. Nate Kyzer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nate Kyzer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rusty Clapper!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clapper tries for a takedown but Kyzer circles away easily
and Clapper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kyzer throws a right hand that misses

and Clapper counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Clapper wants to stand but Kyzer has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Clapper controlling the pace.
Clapper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kyzer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rusty Clapper hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kyzer swings widly with a right hand

so Clapper counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Clapper controlling from the top position.

Clapper passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Clapper advances to full mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Clapper can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kyzer is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Clapper throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kyzer is squirming around, avoiding Clapper's attempts to control the action.
Clapper tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Clapper pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Clapper working for a submission but Kyzer is keeping him at bay.
Kyzer can't escape the position.
Kyzer regains half guard.
Kyzer gets full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rusty Clapper dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nate Kyzer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Clapper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kyzer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kyzer feints and then cracks Clapper's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Clapper down.

Kyzer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Clapper is working away from the top position though.

Clapper is trying to control the action in half guard but Kyzer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nate Kyzer wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Clapper shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kyzer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Clapper throws a lazy uppercut
and Kyzer counters with a nice leg kick.

and Clapper counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kyzer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Clapper controls the pace.
Clapper looking to sit in guard and control but Kyzer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Rusty Clapper has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kyzer trying to control the position from guard on top but Clapper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Clapper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kyzer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kyzer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kyzer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Clapper's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kyzer is keen to just control but Clapper is a slippery customer.
Kyzer wants to pass to mount but Clapper is defending the position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Rusty Clapper will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Clapper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kyzer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Clapper looking to control but Kyzer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Clapper misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Clapper avoids the attempt from Kyzer to control.

Clapper seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Kyzer is holding on tight.

Clapper lands a heavy elbow.
Kyzer looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Clapper lands punches and elbows.
Clapper wants to control but Kyzer is keeping busy.
Kyzer rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Kyzer is trying to maintain the position but Clapper is very close to passing his half guard.

Rusty Clapper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Clapper winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
