Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shiroi Neko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Kildahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neko comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Head - Halo. Kildahl has chosen dont get up as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neko with a poor takedown

and Kildahl decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Neko's guard.
Neko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Neko is looking to take a break and control but Kildahl is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Poor strikes thrown by Kildahl there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kildahl throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Neko because Kildahl loaded up on that one.

Kildahl is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Neko has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Neko!
Kildahl is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Neko dives into side control.
Kildahl wants to get back to his feet.
Kildahl is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That was a close round but Shiroi Neko did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Neko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kildahl's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Kildahl is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kildahl wants to take a breather but Neko is having none of it.

Kildahl is just content to waste time from the top position. Neko takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neko is pulling down on Kildahl's head to control his posture.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shiroi Neko.
I think Kildahl has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
