The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peikkola misses with a wild combination.
Maia tries to clinch but Peikkola is having none of it.
Peikkola throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Maia tries to clinch up but Peikkola circles away and keeps his distance.
Peikkola throws a looping overhand right but Maia ducks down to avoid it.
Peikkola throws a right hand that Maia ducks under and follows up with a left that Maia also avoids with ease.
Peikkola connects with a crisp jab.
Peikkola misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck for Maia with that takedown attempt.
Peikkola tries to bum rush Maia with a series of wild strikes but Maia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Maia shoots in looking for a takedown. Peikkola tries to sprawl out of it but Maia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Peikkola manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
